Sharing My Unedited Writing Experiences & Life Experiences.

A real writer has to write.

Call it an addiction, an obsession, or a craze. I honestly don’t know what I would call my connection to writing. Possibly the best word for is a passion. A day without writing for me is like a day without air… I don’t think I could do it. Since the first time I put my pen to paper and began the journey of discovering a world of my own creation, I haven’t been able to stop.

This is the problem I’m having right now. I have completed my first draft of book one in the Prophecy 6 series. Realistically I should take a few days to let that set in, settle a little, and allow my mind to percolate. I should allow myself a few days to review what I’ve written and jot down ideas on where I can improve… but I am finding it incredibly hard to keep away.

I want to start working on my second draft right now. I want to just sit on my couch and type all the words I painfully wrote down from my book into a Word Document… but I won’t. I have to hold back.

Take a break. Don’t obsess over this… and you won’t get tired. Let it sit. Let it grow.

Random I know… but that’s all I have to say for now. XD

UPDATE: MY PRECIOUS IS DONE! First draft at least…

Just thought I’d post this. Done first draft of book one… Onto typing this lovely out. XD Yay!

Writing is like driving a car…

I like this quote because it is probably the closest I can find to explaining the writing experience I have. Just like driving, you have an general idea of where you are going or where you are going to end up. This is like a outline; your plan on what you want to happen in your story. It is the driving part to get to your destination which is filled with mysteries. You don’t know if you’ll have to stop or take a different street to get where you want to go. You have no idea that by the time you get to your destination if you are wanting to be there.

At the moment, I’m on a road at night driving with my headlights; hopefully, sometime soon I will arrive at my destination. 😛
