First off I just want to say:
This year was a tough year. Many of us lost childhood icons or idols that made this world an easier place to live in. Many terrible things happened this year overseas or in our own backyard. We had an election that may not have gone the way we believed it would. There is a lot of civil unrest wherever you look.
Even with all these horrible things happening it is good to take a moment, breathe, and remember that not all things are horrible. We have friends and family that love us. We have survived these terrible moments and have become stronger for them. We need to look to the future and ask ourselves, “What can I do to help or what can I do to make a step in the right direction?”
For me, I’m going to try and volunteer more with local community groups. I want to start working with small businesses that want to help change the world for the better by working to support them in small ways, allowing them to focus on their goals and not on the tiny tasks that hold small business owners back from taking chances. I want to work towards my third book – which I already started drafting yesterday. I want to be able to talk to people more about the importance of creative educations and child development in an academic flooded world.
Those are just a few of my larger goals for this year. Some of my manageable goals are to eat healthy, walk more, and try to stress less. Now that I’ve typed them out my larger goals seem more realistic. XD
Another thing with surviving this year was I had all of you here to support me. With your comments, likes, and views I was able to determine what people liked the most from what I was posting. Although the last two weeks haven’t followed the schedule I set out beforehand I am going to try to stick with it this coming year. I find if I organize my blog better that leaves me time to review and add to my writing before posting them on here… or even find more time to focus on other fun project to share with you on a later date.
I want to say thank you like I have said a thousand times over for all the amazing support and for all you amazing people who read my work. Without you I wouldn’t have gotten to this point. Book 2 – Children of Sirphan – being published shows how dedicated I am to working on this series but not only that listening to you/ improving my writing for your enjoyment. When book three is published the Prophecy Six Series will be half-way done. Crazy if you think about it.
Anyways, I want to know what your resolutions or goals are for this New Year. I also want to know if you were able to reach any of your previous years goals. Let me know in the comment section down below. Until next time stay safe, be creative, and as always toodles! 🙂
