I have finally gotten around to updating

It has been a while since I talked about my third book of the P6 Series… but yes it is still happening!

I have been working my butt off trying to get some of it done between my busy schedule. I am currently on chapter three, and like always, Liora’s curiosity is getting the better of her.

The question is, will the King of the South be as forgiving as the King of the North?

You’ll have to wait and see. ^.^

Book Two Is Out And It Wasn’t Without Its Challenges

Hello World!

So, the day has finally come to announce the release of book 2 – Children of Sirphan.

Right off the top I’ll tell you I like this book more than my first. I learnt a lot from publishing my first one but the second one has a stronger story and better character development I find.

That, though, isn’t the challenge I am speaking of.

My laptop of eight years has officially died. It took me through university and two books before it decided to go out with a bang. You can say I burned it out… literally…

As I was sitting down yesterday, (December 19th), getting ready to set things up for a smooth launch my laptop had other plans. Within seconds of leaving it on my father-in-law’s couch Mr. Canuck smelt something burning… and well… it wasn’t long before my laptop ended up outside in the snow. Turns out the connection wire burnt out causing all the smoke to happen and the screen to die. I was also lucky to have back ups of the laptop on either online storage or other devices. That meant I was a little behind but not enough to delay the release today!

So, without further delay I want to introduce to you my second book – Children of Sirphan – which is now available for purchase on SMASHWORDS and AMAZON for ebook online. The price for the ebook is $2.99 USD and $3.99 CAD.

Paperback versions will be available closer to the summer as I want to add some special things to the paperback that you won’t be getting with the ebook, (like images for chapter headings and section headings).

If you wish to purchase the newest book of the P6 Series click the links below to be teleported to the shop of your choice. If you have any questions leave them in the comments down below and I will answer them as soon as I can.

Until next time be creative, stay safe, and as always Toodles! ^.^

Introducing Liora of Morza

As many of you know I posted a Character Build for Liora last week. It was around this time I came across a young artist named Masha while I was exploring DeviantArt for world building inspiration. It just so happened Masha was open for commissions and after exploring her amazing work I decided I’d take the chance and see what she could do for me.

I sent her the Character Build for Liora, gave her some other details to add and a week later she came back with the most amazing image I could have ever imagined.

May I introduce to you, Liora of Morza:

liora-of-morza

Isn’t she amazing! She is just as I pictured she’d be… and there is so much detail – like the scar on her neck or the pattern of the earring and the latches to the book. Oh, man I have to stop or I will go on and one about this picture…

Anywho, I wanted to share this with you all as I thought some of you would love to see her. In the future I hope to work with Masha again for concepts for all my other characters but I need to start selling paid books before I can do that. XD

If you want to check out Masha’s other art pieces, (and I suggest you do because she is incredibly talented), CLICK HERE.

Until next time stay safe, be creative, and as always – Toodles! ^.^

Prophecy Six Update: Kadmir

Hey Everyone,

As there is only a month left until book 2 comes out I thought I’d make some more updates to the Official Cannon website for Prophecy Six where you can find all the information you want pertaining to characters, the world’s history, and other awesome information.

Today I made two updates:

  1. Updated the Characters of Prophecy Six – specifically Liora (CLICK HERE TO READ MORE)
  2. Add a new location to the Map of Gaitan – Kadmir (CLICK HERE TO READ MORE)

Now, I wrote Liora’s bio in the past but with the second book coming out I thought it would be good to update it. You can now find out more about her abilities and why her hair turns white. As for Kadmir, those of you that are interested in finding out how the war between the nations started would probably find this update very interesting.

Anyways, that’s all I have for now. I am going to be updating more now as time draws closer to the release of book 2 – Children of Sirphan – on December 20th. Toodles for now. 🙂

Thinking Thursdays: What Inspires You?

Hello World Out There World!

Today on Thinking Thursday we are covering the question: What inspires you?

This question I’ve covered a while back but for those of you who are new to this blog I’ll answer this question in this post.

When it comes to being inspired I would have to say a lot of things inspire me. It all depends on my mood, and the environment. Old projects inspire me, things people say inspire me, or certain images inspire me.

As of late I’ve been watching a lot of Netflix and there have been a few shows that have opened my mind to new ideas. Touch, a show about a boy that sees the world in numbers has given me knew ideas on abilities people could have. American Crime, a show about a family dealing with the murder of their son with a major twist has given me ideas on how to approach modern crime short stories.

Today what has inspired me to work/ write is not only obligation (as I need to stick with updating this blog more regularly) but also discovering old projects. I’ve been transferring a lot of old writing pieces over to my new desktop and found some stories that I thought I lost or deleted. I’m happy to say that didn’t happen and more than thrilled to be able to tackle some of these old projects. Not only does it help me remember a time when creative writing was easier for me but also I can improve on the stories that I had written now with a better writing approach.

At the end of the day it really depends on if I’m looking to be creative or not. Most of the time when I’m not looking for a way to become inspired inspiration finds me. I don’t know if this is the same for any of you… I would like to hear from you on what inspires you.

Now, I have to finish up dinner and get back to editing book two. Maybe I’ll even take a break and check out The Sun Child – the short book series I started back in high school. Who knows, I may have more than Prophecy Six to share with the world.

Until next time – Toodles!!

Child of the Light

The world of Gaitan is used to conflict.

War has been common place between the northern and southern countries for centuries, but it isn’t their hatred which led to the city of Morza’s demise.

The Chaos Singers would say the Gods came down and cleansed the land in a brilliant light to prepare for the ending of the Era.

The common folk would say it was an explosion from the evening’s festivities gone wrong.
The truth is no one knows what happened that night.

Except one.

Upon investigating the remains of the city, in hopes of finding
information that could lead to a cure to the Northern prince’s mysterious sickness, Caldor Lefwid – an old sage – sights what appears to be fresh footprints heading towards the forest.

This discovery brings hope to an otherwise hopeless situation, and Caldor decides to take a chance.

With help from his trusted friend – Foe – Caldor begins the journey to find the last survivor of Morza and the cure the North is praying for.

Child of the Light is a fiction, fantasy, self-discovery story focused towards young adults (ages 14+). It’s the first book of the Prophecy 6 series, and covers a variety of issues facing young adults and the world today such as displacement due to conflict, and othering.

If you want a quick and easy read, this is the book for you.
