Mushroom layered
Blues and browns with gray waves ripple
Captured by my lens

These two pictures were the first images I took with the macro lens. The first image I love because I captured the waxy surface of the mushroom, and in a way it reminds me of a summer sunset. The second image is a little blurry but I love how I was able to focus on the ridges – showing how delicate they are.
Although I still consider myself a novice in the world of photography, there are some pictures I’ve taken that I absolutely love. 🙂

There’s a world beneath our feet,
It’s filled with wonder and beauty.
Tiny nations built in years snuffed out in one step.
Think before you act.

Make a wish, then blow
Watch them scatter on the breeze
Landing somewhere free.

Distilled in Time
Taken at the Distillery District in Toronto, Ontario, Canada
Photographer: Deanna Wiltshire
Growing up in Ontario has allowed me to explore a plethora of places. One place that I love to visit whenever I’m in Toronto is the Distillery District. With their small theater, pubs, and shops there is something there for everyone. What I love most is the modern art that fills the corners of the pathways mixed with old architecture. If you ever have the time and find yourself in Toronto I suggest checking it out. 🙂
